- Why I chose my major
I always knew I wanted a career that involved helping others, but I wasn't sure what that would entail. Growing up, my family faced financial challenges that led to bankruptcy. Determined to understand finances better, I made it my mission to learn everything about money - saving, investing and planning - to avoid similar hardships. After a semester in this field, I realized it was my calling. I dedicated myself to building my knowledge and practice, striving to become an honest and respected professional in the field.
- What I like most about FACS
What I appreciate most about FACS is its commitment to making a positive impact in people's lives. The majors offered within the college are diverse, yet all share the common goal of bettering the lives of others. FACS feels like home; the staff is exceptionally friendly, you encounter familiar faces in the halls daily, and they genuinely care about your future and success. They provide unwavering support and are determined to assist with any needs you may have. I consider FACS to be UGA's hidden gem, and I feel honored to have had the opportunity to be a part of it.
- Post-graduation plans
After graduation, I'll be relocating to Midtown, Atlanta to join SignatureFD, a reputable financial planning firm. This firm closely aligns with my values of providing valuable, holistic and integrity-driven financial advice and has an amazing team culture.
