Major & Emphasis/Expected Graduation Time

I am a Fashion Merchandising major with an emphasis in Brand Management. I will be graduating in August of 2023.

Activities/Honors

I'm involved with the Student Merchandising Association (SMA) and am a HOPE scholarship recipient.

Why I chose my major

I have always had a passion for creativity, more specifically, fashion and being able to express myself through clothing. I grew up always wearing clothes that were bright, eye-catching, and very mixed matched. So, fashion merchandising seemed like an obvious choice for me.

What I like most about TMI

This program has been very open and welcoming since I transferred here. Aside from the amazing advisors and professors I've had that guided me through the transition, I would say that the courses are what I love about the FM major. Each course has its own individuality that teaches me something new about the fashion industry. There have been so many eye-opening lessons I have learned over the past few years. They allow me to gain a new skill and set of knowledge that I will carry with me through my journey post-grad.

Post-graduation Plans

I am very grateful that the University of Georgia especially (the FM major) has so many opportunities to meet and network with employers in my fields of interest. I plan on obtaining a product design position within a corporate fashion company.
