- Why I chose my major
I chose my major because I knew HDFS would prepare me to pursue a career as a Certified Child Life Specialist. Through Human Development and Family Science, I learned how to make a positive impact on children and families in a variety of environments. My HDFS classes have taught me a new, highly valued perspective that I will carry with me throughout my personal life and professional career.
- What I like most about FACS
I admire the FACS community! The faculty members within FACS are extremely supportive, and my classmates have become some of my closest friends. The people who make up the College of Family and Consumer Sciences are thoughtful, creative and intentional. It has been a privilege to be surrounded by such an amazing group!
- Post-graduation plans
After graduation, I will be moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan to complete my child life internship at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. I am extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity.
