What school did you transfer from?

Saddleback College

Why did you decide to transfer to UGA?

I decided to transfer to UGA because of how much school pride there is, and I wanted to experience life in the South. In addition, I believe UGA’s Fashion Merchandising program will give me all of the tools to be successful post-graduation.

What is your major?

Fashion Merchandising

Why did you choose your major?

I chose Fashion Merchandising because I am incredibly passionate about fashion, and I love how it empowers people to express who they are and what they stand for.

What activities or student organizations do you participate in?

Kappa Delta Sorority, Rouge Magazine, Transfer Ambassador, Letters of Love Club

What do you like about FACS?

What I love about FACS is that my class sizes are smaller, which allows me to connect with faculty and peers and truly engage in lectures.

Is there a faculty or staff person who has been particularly helpful during your transfer journey?

Dr.Clair McClure’s lectures made attending class less intimidating and created an environment where I could learn, connect with my peers, and develop professional skills.

What has your favorite UGA and/or FACS experience been?

My favorite FACS experience was taking the retail entrepreneurship course, where I was the marketing director for a student-run pop-up boutique. This experience gave me valuable hands-on experience running a small business.
