Transfer student enjoys smaller class sizes in FACS
- What school did you transfer from?
University of Kentucky
- Why did you decide to transfer to UGA?
I tried the out of state route and learned very quickly it wasn't for me. I knew that I wanted to live in the South when i'm older and UGA had endless opportunities I wanted to learn more about.
- What is your major?
Consumer Economics
- Why did you choose your major?
Before deciding to transfer, I had no idea consumer economics was even a major. However after discovering it, I loved that classes were smaller, the teachers actually want to get to know you, and I get to learn about the consumer side of the business world which fascinated me.
- What activities or student orgs do you participate in?
Greek Life, and I recently joined Women in Business and Family and Consumer Sciences organizations this past month.
- What do you like about FACS?
I like the diversity of the college and all the teachers. I feel like they really want their students to succeed and I like the smaller classroom feel.
- What has your favorite UGA and/or FACS experience been?
My favorite UGA experience has been trying out different clubs and meeting new people. I've met some really awesome people that I know after one semester are going to be lifelong friends.
