I am currently working on applying to a variety of different Student Affairs master’s programs. After receiving my master’s, my plan is to either work at an educational non-profit or at a university.
- Why did you choose your major?
I knew from a young age that I wanted to go into non-profit or policy work, and after talking with Dr. Warmath and Ahmaud Templeton, I knew that the Social Entrepreneurship major was the perfect fit for me. I haven’t looked back since!
- Why did you want to become an Ambassador?
I wanted to be a FACS Ambassador to help other students learn about the amazing opportunities in the college. In a way, it was my way of saying thank you for supporting me throughout my years here at UGA.
- What do you like the most about FACS?
My favorite part about FACS is the welcoming energy that fills the halls every day, and the community that I have found within this college.
- What advice would you give to new students?
Give yourself some grace. College is a hard adjustment for anyone, and speaking from experience, it can sometimes not meet your initial expectations. Things will get better, it simply takes some time.
- What has been your favorite part of your FACS program so far?
The people I have met! Everyone has been fantastic, honestly extraordinary. Through FACS, I have made lifelong friends and mentors.
- What is your favorite spot to study on campus?
The reading room on the 3rd of the MLC.
- What is one thing you wish more people knew about FACS?
FACS provides you with every opportunity to get to know your professors, the Dean, TAs, advisors, and/or staff, so you should take advantage of that.
