- Why did you choose your major?
I chose nutritional sciences as my major because I have always had a love for food and healthy living. I have a desire to know what I was putting in my body every day, and I wanted to know how I can use food to avoid illness and increase the longevity of my life.
- Why did you want to be a FACS Ambassador?
I joined FACS after struggling to find a major and college where I felt that I belonged. Instead of going with what I felt was the necessary major for my desired career path, I chose to study something I loved. Once I saw how FACS cares for its students and is always striving to improve and progress, I knew I had to show other people what FACS has to offer at UGA!
- What do you like most about FACS?
The professors and the classes in FACS set you up for success not just in school, but for your career after college. They provide you with the necessary tools you will need and are more than willing to help you out in any way they can.
- What advice would you give to new students?
Always ask questions! UGA and FACS offer so many resources you will never know about if you don’t ask about them. There are still resources I am learning about as a third-year student.
- What is your favorite place to study on campus?
I love studying on the fourth floor of the Science Library! There is a Jittery Joe’s on the second floor whenever I need it, and I love the smell of the old books.
- What is one thing you wish more people knew about FACS?
Unlike a lot of the other colleges at UGA, FACS offers so many amazing majors that are great avenues to whatever career you want to pursue, whether that is in the business, science or fashion world.
