- Why I chose my major
I applied to UGA as a business major, with hopes of going to the Terry College of Business. With time, though, I realized business was not for me. I hit a crossroads and met with the Career Center to discuss my options and my interests. They suggested that I look into Housing Management and Policy, since I was interested in real estate and helping people who need housing. Once I started in the major, I found my passion for property management and affordable housing. Changing my major has been the biggest blessing in disguise and opened so many doors for me in networking and in my future career.
- What I like most about FACS
My favorite thing about FACS is the professors. I have never met professors who cared so much about my success and my career than the professors I met in FACS. I feel like my professors are cheerleaders, who are cheering for me on the sidelines of my life. I am forever thankful for their advice and guidance through school.
- Post-graduation plans
I plan to further my education and attend grad school here at FACS to get my master’s in housing management and policy.
