Job Description

Julie Patterson serves as an Academic Advisor in the Student Success and Advising Center in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences. She shares the responsibility of advising Human Development and Family Science majors, and she advises all students in the Child Life Emphasis. In addition to advising, Julie is an part-time instructor for the College.

Julie is a proud FACS alum. She received a B.S.F.C.S. in Child and Family Development: PreK-2nd Grade Emphasis, earning her teacher certification, as well as a M.Ed. in Language and Literacy Education: Children’s Literature Emphasis, both from the University of Georgia. Prior to joining FACS as a staff member in 2010, Julie taught kindergarten at Statham Elementary for 8 years.
