Job Description
County Extension Coordinator
As the County Extension Coordinator (CEC) of the McDuffie County Extension Office, I oversee the day-to-day operations of the McDuffie County office. I manage the county portion of our budget provided by the McDuffie County Board of Commissioners. The major responsibilities of the CEC is to coordinate efforts of the county staff, including organizing and allocating resources, preparing budgets, maintaining relationships, interpreting and communicating policy, teaching, evaluating and reporting in their assigned program area.
Family & Consumer Sciences Agent
Responsible for planning and conducting educational programming in Family & Consumer Sciences (FACS) based on the needs of clientele in McDuffie County. Needs assessments and direction from the FACS Program Development Team are used to determine the primary areas of programming offered. The primary areas of programming are provided in health/wellness (Healthy Georgia, HED & Walk-A-Weigh), Alzheimer's & dementia support (VDT), and food safety/preservation.
