Job Description
Dr. Bernard Green serves as Director of the Student Success & Advising Center in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences at UGA. He directs the planning, organizing and executing of operations within the SSAC. His energies are spent elevating academic advising, recruitment and enrollment, the first-year experience and transition to college, and experiential learning and student leadership opportunities in the college.
Bernard earned his BA in History and Masters in Higher Education from Georgia Southern University. He earned his Doctorate from UGA's Counseling & Student Personnel Services department in the Mary Frances Early College of Education at UGA in 2024. With a strong history of working with students and administrators, Bernard leads with a balance of logic and emotion, bringing his unique leadership style and friendly manner to FACS faculty, staff, and students.
