Previous Experiences

I received my Master's Degree in Social Work from UGA and returned to the University in 2016 after almost fourteen years with the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) in Region V. My focus while at DFCS was on recruiting, training, and supporting local foster and adoptive families. I also have experience working with birth parents and children in foster care to provide services to support and promote reunification.  I am passionate about supporting families to secure the tools they need to care for themselves and the children in their care.

Job Description

I am the Program Coordinator for the Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education (HMRE) Project for cluster two, serving Barrow, Jackson, and Walton counties and am housed in the UGA Extension office located in Walton County.

As the HMRE Program Coordinator, I facilitate community partnership efforts and communications, coordinate training activities, supervise interns and program facilitators, and monitor program services.
