County Extension Coordinator
As the County Extension Coordinator (CEC) of the Elbert County Extension Office, I oversee the day-to-day operations of the Elbert County office. Manage the county portion of our budget provided by the Elbert County Board of Commissioners as well as the Elbert County Board of Education. The major responsibilities of the CEC is to coordinate efforts of the county staff, including organizing and allocating resources, preparing budgets, maintaining relationships, interpreting and communicating policy, teaching, evaluating and reporting in their assigned program area.
Family & Consumer Science Agent
Responsible for planning and conducting educational programming in Family & Consumer Sciences (FACS) based on the needs of clientele in the county. Needs assessments and direction from the FACS Program Development Team are used to determine the primary areas of programming offered. The primary areas of programming are provided in nutrition (Prevent T2, Diabetes, & Walk-A-Weigh), financial management (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance), and food safety/preservation. In addition, provide resources and support for Elbert County 4-H. Serve as Chair for the Elbert Partners for Health Nutrition & Wellness Work Group as well as Chair of the local Family Connection collaborative in Elbert County.
