Job Description
Ines is responsible for providing Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) research-based information as well as supervising and administering the Expanded Foods and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in Gwinnett County. Ines is a bilingual in Spanish Extension FACS Agent. She supervises two bilingual in Spanish program assistants, and one bilingual in Korean. She plans and conducts programming in Gwinnet County, the most racially diverse county in the state of Georgia. Of the total population, 36.1% is White, 27.3% is Black or African American, and 21.5% is Hispanic or Latino, with 35.4% of people in Gwinnett County speaking a non-English language. The county contains 12 cities.
Ines holds a Bachelor of Food Science and Technology from the University of Bogota, Jorge Tadeo Lozano, and a Master of Education from The University of Georgia. She is also a national certified nutrition and wellness educator (CNWE). Ines' major issues and successes have been in the areas of Health and Preventing Chronic Disease, Food Safety, and Early Childhood Education.
