Job Description

Ms.Faulk supports Family and Consumer Sciences Extension and Outreach personnel in the Northwest District through trainings, guidance, mentorship and advocacy. She is based in Griffin, Georgia. Her overall service area include 39 counties.

Ms. Faulk began her career with the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension in July 2006.  For eight years, she served Fulton County as the Family and Consumer Sciences county agent. Her community outreach education focused on the whole family to include:  chronic disease management, food safety, food preservation, financial management and child care food service provider trainings. Ms. Faulk was also the primary contact for mold, mildew and radon concerns for her county.

In 2011, Ms. Faulk was selected to represent Cooperative Extension by presenting Cooking for a Lifetime Cancer Prevention Cooking School for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention educational program evaluation team. Her delivery of the Cooking School program was credited for the Cancer Prevention program being identified as one of 16 “Promising Practices” in the United States.     

Ms. Faulk was selected to present at national conferences on her Making the Most of my Money financial management program, which targeted non-violent drug offenders.  She was also the lead author of Starting Your Own Business: Community Resources, a university publication being used in support of financial management education throughout Georgia.

Prior to UGA Extension, Ms. Faulk worked for eight years in the executive office of the Georgia Secretary of State. During her time with the Secretary of State’s Office, Ms. Faulk was responsible for working with the constituent services team and in support of the agency’s legislative team.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Master’s Degree in Public Administration.
