Job Description
Romulo (Ronnie) Rama is a Senior Lecturer in Interior Design at the University of Georgia. He has a dual appointment with the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, Textiles, Merchandising and Interiors and the Lamar Dodd School of Art. In both programs he teaches Interior Design courses.
From 2015 to 2024 he was the Director of the Interior Design Program at Abilene Christian University, where he was an Associate Professor in the Department of Art and Design, teaching Interior Design and Architecture courses, such as: Design Drawing, Architectural History, Digital Design Communication, and Sophomore and Senior Design studios.
His research interest includes on-site archeological drawings for publication and analyses of medieval and Renaissance structures with a focus on spaces that motivate contemplation and reflection, described as Places of Being. His presentations focus on using narratives in the design process and the analysis of historic buildings.
Since 2017 he serves as a reviewer and ad hoc reviewer for the Council of Interior Design Accreditation in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
