Job Description

Laurens County Extension Coordinator: responsible for supervising a staff of six - an ANR Agent, a 4-H Agent, a 4-H Program Assistant, an Administrative Assistant, an AmeriCorps 4-H Program Assistant, and an Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program Assistant and for maintaining appropriate contact with county officials and marketing Extension programming to the community in Laurens County. Additional responsibilities include: budgeting of funds, verifying time sheets, conducting office staff meetings, following EEO/AA guidelines and completing the Monthly Verification Reconciliation Reports for Extension Checking Account. Submits annual budget to the Laurens County Commissioners and oversees the county budget.

Laurens County Family and Consumer Sciences Agent: responsible for planning and conducting educational programming in Family and Consumer Sciences based on the needs of the community.  Primary focus areas include emergency preparedness, strong families and healthy children, nutrition and chronic disease education, and food safety education. Candidate is also responsible for supervising the program delivery of the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in Laurens and surrounding counties.
