She is responsible for all Graphic Design, Marketing, and Publicity for the department and grant-funded projects. Trained in production of products with Accessibility and Digital ADA Compliance; including alternative formats. Websites are developed in 501c3 format. Responsible for photography, videography, and program coordination of events, workshops, and conferences for the department. All digital productions are captioned. Manages social media accounts, third-party platforms, and dissemination that is disbursed throughout the University and community through our outreach initiatives. Manages reporting, tracking, and analytics for events, social media profiles, website management, and dissemination. Oversees organizational management for multiple projects within the department.
Whitney started working with IHDD in March of 2018. Before IHDD, Whitney was simultaneously attending the University of Georgia earning her Bachelors's degree in Graphic Design while gaining extensive experience in the field working with a prestigious Design Agency, as well as a Marketing Coordinator for a National magazine for 5 years. The skills Whitney gained from working with well-known successful corporations (some include Califia Farms, Coca-Cola, and Nestlé), as well as clients with independently-owned businesses and smaller companies, really set her apart with the invaluable hands-on experience and skills gained, even before she gained her degree. Whitney graduated from the University of Georgia with her Bachelors in Graphic Design and minored in Photography in December of 2017.
Personally, Whitney has a heart for helping people. Whitney has had her own set of mental and physical health struggles over the years and has a heart for coming alongside others who are struggling. She grew up on a farm and loves the outdoors. Whitney said "Being able to help farmers and others for my job is an absolutely perfect fit. I feel like I am designing for a purpose, which was my overall motive for entering the field of 'design'."
