A great start for pre-med, pre-occupational therapy, pre-physical therapy, speech language pathologist, physician assistant.
Students in this track select HDFS electives that will prepare them to go on for further education in health fields such as nursing, physician’s assistants, medicine, physical and occupational therapy. In addition, it is strongly recommended that students in this track take additional science courses that will prepare them for further healthcare education (as dictated by the particular health field).
Medical Schools look for candidates who:
- Have an understanding of the “whole picture” in interacting with human beings
- Exhibit qualities of compassion, sensitivity & effective relationships with patients of diverse backgrounds
