Discuss the possibility of an internship with your advisor. The internship should complement your program of study.

Find your advisor

Determine whether you will register for credit hours

Visit Credit or no credit?

Make sure you fulfill the requirements

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0
  • Junior or senior
  • If you are registering for FHCE 5910/7910, you must have completed FHCE 5900 (Internship Orientation) by the time you begin your internship.
  • Applied Consumer Analytics emphasis: and you are registering for FHCE 5960/7960 (Quantitative Internship in FHCE), you must have completed FHCE 4000/6000
  • Housing Policy and Management, Financial Planning, Consumer Economics majors: You must have completed 12 semester hours of FHCE coursework
  • Social Entrepreneurship majors: You must have completed FHCE 4010/6010

International Students

International students pursuing an unpaid internship should complete the Curricular Practical Training.
