As a Human Development and Family Science Major, you are able to apply your knowledge through hands-on internships in community or research settings.
Why is Experential Learning required?
The University of Georgia, the College of Family and Consumer Sciences and the Department of Human Development believe that experiential learning “enhance[s] learning and position [students] for success after graduation.” Completing the internship fulfills your Experiential Learning requirement for the university, while fulfilling the requirements of your degree in Human Development and Family Science.
You will register for an internship course just as you would any other course, so please be mindful of tuition deadlines.
There are experiential learning funding opportunities, so please review Experiential Learning Scholarships for guidelines and due dates!
